My Thoughts:
This book is light, quick to read, and uncomplicated. It's a nice fantasy adventure with a sweet romance blossoming along the way. Gavin and Elani both learn about themselves and each other as they go in search of answers about the mysterious Treasure of Isian.
The only downside was that I spent much of the book feeling like an observer. The details were sparse and the characters went through the motions without much fanfare. Otherwise, I really liked the story and the growth that both Gavin and Elani went through. I liked how their adventures brought them closer together.
If you are looking for a clean, light read for an afternoon, give this a try. It is suitable for both teen and adult readers.
