My Thoughts:
I wasn't sure how much I would like this book, but it sounded cute so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did. It is short, sweet, and lots of fun. Rosie is asked by her old babysitter to be a flower girl in her wedding. Rosie meets the other flower girls and together they manage to save the wedding from certain disaster. Rosie is a sweet girl that has to overcome her own fears and self-doubt in order to help the bride and be the best flower girl she can.
The writing is simple and the book is short. There are quite a few black and white illustrations, which makes it nice for kids starting out in chapter books. My five year old was a little too young to appreciate it, but it would be perfect for girls ages 7 and up. I've lent out my copy to a neighbor girl who was thrilled to read it.

I wouldn't know whether I would like this one either but since you liked it, it must be good! I might have liked being a flower girl when I was younger if I read this series especially because with my mind I would think I would have to watch out for any dangers to save the day (:
ReplyDeleteIt was really cute. It's definitely for the younger crowd. It's perfect for girls just moving into chapter books. I would have liked these books when I was younger too. :)
