Stacking the Shelves

Welcome to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews.  This is where I share the new books I've gotten recently.

I know I'm a little late to the ball game with this post, but I have gotten so many awesome books lately that I just had to share.  Stacking the Shelves is one of my favorite things to watch for on other book blogs, so I figured it was time I joined in the fun. :)

Here are some of the books I've acquired recently.  Click on the title to go to Amazon.

Picture Book:

My Yellow Umbrella by Chris Robertson.  I reviewed the ebook a little while ago and I absolutely loved it.  Chris then sent me the paperback and I fell in love with it all over again!  My kids have asked to read it over and over and over again.

Middle Grade Books:

The Monster in the Mudball by S.P. Gates (for review)
Glitter Girl by Toni Runkle and Stephen Webb

The Year of Shadows by Claire Legrand (Author), Karl Kwasny (Illustrator)

Young Adult Books:

Obsidian Mirror by Catherine Fisher

Books for Mom (Adult Books):

The Return of Cassandra Todd by Darrel Nelson

I am super excited to read these books.  This author is from the same area I grew up in, and I've heard great things about his novels so far.  So these are definitely going to the top of the TBR pile!

Rent Collector by Camron Wright

This is another book that I can't wait to read. Everyone that I know that's read it has loved it.

Ebooks:

As you can see, I have quite a bit of reading to do. What books did you get recently?

  1. I knew I recognized The Yellow Umbrella! That was so nice of the author. The illustrations looks more vivid that way.
I want to read Land of Stories next year and I happen to be reading The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls by Claire Legrand next year too. I haven't heard of The Year of Shadows by her so I'll have to check it out. The Rent Collector's cover looks pretty. I like that you are as eclectic as I am in reading books of all ages. Have fun reading!

    1. Thanks! I'm really excited about all these books. The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls has been on my TBR list forever, but I haven't ever gotten around to reading it. Maybe this year I'll be able to make a little more time for those books that I've been eyeballing for months!

  2. I have quite a few books in my queue for reviewing for Power of Moms. Happily Ever After by Trista Sutter (the first Bachelorette, though that's not what this book is about, but for reference purposes), Happiness is a Habit by Michelle Phillips, When We Became Three Jill Caryl Weiner, and Say Goodbye to Survival Mode by Crystal Paine. In my non-fiction "when I have time" list I still have to finish reading Divergent and Reached. Have you read Enchanted Inc by Shanna Swendson? It's amazing! She e-published the last few books in the series and I still need to read those to. Too many books to choose from!

    1. Wow you have a lot of books to read too. Non-fiction always takes me longer to read. Enchanted Inc sounds really cute. I haven't read them, but I'm putting them on my TBR for now.
