My Thoughts:
This is an early reader book. It has simple sentences; just a few words on each page and full color illustrations all the way through. The story itself is pretty cute and the illustrations still play a fairly big part in telling it.
It is quite long, so it's best for kids that have moved past the initial stages of learning to read, but it's not so long that it couldn't be finished in a reasonable amount of time. I think it took me about 15 minutes to read it to my kids, but obviously it would take longer for a child to read it by themselves.
Overall, This is a fun story with beautiful artwork that would be great for kids looking for the next step.
I would't expect it to be so big. I'm pretty sure I've read another review of this basically saying it was alright. It looks like it could be cute what with a fox being the center of attention. Question: Do you have your kids read to you?
ReplyDeleteMy oldest just started kindergarten and is just beginning to read. I do have her read to me, but she is still on the very beginning level. This book would have been too difficult for her. I should review some of the books that she has been reading.
